Privacy Policy

VoiceJottings is an on-device, local-first iOS app. Your recordings and their transcripts live on your iPhone. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what we never do.

What stays on your device

• Your recordings and transcripts. Audio is captured to your device's app container; transcription runs locally using Apple's on-device speech framework. Audio never leaves your iPhone, and works in Airplane Mode.
• Your titles, tags, folders, summaries, and Moments. All stored locally in SwiftData. We do not see, sync, or log them.

Network features

• Pro Summary. Summaries and action items are generated on-device from the local transcript. No transcript is sent to us for this feature.
• App Store purchases. Apple tells your device whether your Apple ID is entitled to Pro. We never see your name, email, or card details.

What we never do

• We never upload your audio to any server.
• We never use your recordings, transcripts, or summaries to train AI models.
• No third-party analytics, advertising, or crash SDKs (Apple MetricKit only).
• No data brokers. No selling or sharing of your data.

Deleting your data

Deleting a recording in the app removes both its audio file and its transcript from your device. Deleting the app removes everything local.

Children

VoiceJottings is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, because we do not collect it by default.
